CLIMBING MOUNT KERINCI
4 DAYS PROGRAM ( 2 DAYS TRAVELLING AND 2 DAYS FOR CLIMBING )

Day 01: Maninjau/Bukittinggi - Kersik Tuo.

After breakfast we will leave for Kersik Tuo a village which is located on the slope of Mount Kerinci and it is situated 1.500 m above sea level. We will travel through some lush countryside, mountainous areas with its beautiful lanscape of the countrysides. On the way we will visit Lake Singkarak, upper lake and lower lake. Stop for a splash in the waterfall and observe some traditional villages. Lunch will be taken en route at a local restaurant. We will arrive in the village in the afternoon we then check in to the guest house. Dinner will be taken at the guest house.

Day 02: Kersik Tuo - Mount Kerinci (overnight in tent)



After breakfast, we will set off for the climb of Mount Kerinci. It is the highest volcano in Indonesia. (3.805 m). After climbing for about 5-6 hours with various stop we will reach the half way mark. Here we will set up camp for the night. We will provide a tent, lunch and dinner. We will have a early night's sleep, so we can catch the highest sunrise in Sumatra the next morning.


 

Day 03: From camp - summit - camp - Kersik Tua.

We'll wake up early in the morning at 4 am and after breakfast, we'll continue our climbing to the summit. It will take about 2 hours. From the summit if the weather is clear, we can see the ocean at Bengkulu, Padang and the beautiful landscape of the areas and the scenery of Kerinci National Park, as well as Mount Seven lake. After spending 1 hour at the summit, we'll descend to the camp for some rest and relaxation. After having lunch, we'll descend back to the homes stay in Kersik Tuo.Dinner will be taken at the guest house.

Day 04: Kersik Tuo - Padang. (Drop in Padang)   

After breakfast, we will leave for Padang travelling the other way around through mountainous areas with thick jungle of Kerinci National Park. On the way we will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the tea plantation and cinnamon farms. After driving for a couple of ours we'll visit a nice hot spring for a coffee breaks. We will then continue our journey by driving up and down through the jungle of Kerinci National Park on the most quiet roads in Sumatra. Along the way we'll enjoy lots of beautiful scenery of the jungle and see some regional birds, monkeys and hear the sound of the jungle. Lunch will be taken en route at a local restaurant. After lunch we will continue our journey by driving along the countryside and along the seashore where we will enjoy a lovely blue ocean and stop on the beach for a swim. We will arrive in Padang in the afternoon where the tour ends. If you want any help finding a hotel or to dropped off at the Airport, then your wish is our command.
