JUNGLE ADVENTURE TREK TO SIBERUT ISLAND

7 days trip (2 days traveling/5 days trekking)
The trip will begin from Padang by ferry to Muara Siberut. It is one of the main harbors of Siberut Island.The ferry from Padang to Muara Siberut leaves at 8 pm (duration 10-12 hours)
10 DAYS PROGRAM.
Day 01: Padang - Muara Siberut:
After preparing the supplies needed for the trek and dinner in Padang, we then board the ferry to Siberut Island at 08:00 pm . We will arrive in Muara Siberut early in the morning between 6 and 7 am.
Day 02: Muara Siberut - Rorogot - Sakalio.
.After arrival in Muara Siberut where we will have breakfast and prepare for the days activities . We will then set off for a two hour speed boat trip up the river to Rorogot, where our trekking will begin. This boat ride is full of beautiful scenes of children playing, and local tribes getting along with their daily tasks surrounded by lush tropical jungle
Our arrival in Rorogot we will be greeted by some primitive people who want to be our porters. Following the boat ride is a 3-4 hours trek to the jungle village of Sakalio where we will spend the first night in the traditional primitive house. We will trek through some muddy areas over slippery logs and cross some streams. Lunch is provided in the jungle (lunch box). In the evening after having dinner you are free to relax, observing the way of life and enjoy the local hospitality with the family of the primitive people.
Our arrival in Rorogot we will be greeted by some primitive people who want to be our porters. Following the boat ride is a 3-4 hours trek to the jungle village of Sakalio where we will spend the first night in the traditional primitive house. We will trek through some muddy areas over slippery logs and cross some streams. Lunch is provided in the jungle (lunch box). In the evening after having dinner you are free to relax, observing the way of life and enjoy the local hospitality with the family of the primitive people.
Day 03: Sakalio - Ugai.
After breakfast we will leave for Ugai village, trekking for 4-5 hours. Ugai is a busy thriving village of at least 80 houses built around a network of streams and a river. We will try and greet them with a few local words, it will be warmly appreciated. Lunch will be provided. We will settle down for the evening, with good food and the chance to sample local hospitality and the village way of life
Day o4: Still in Ugai.
Our visit may coincide with an invitation to a traditional ceremony such as the birth of a new child, marriage, reunion a new house or the success of a hunting expedition. Witnessing the tribe people in their traditional dress, surrounded by their jungle based habitat will lead to a unique experience unlike anywhere else. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 05: Ugai Malagurek.
After breakfast we will leave for the jungle village of Malagurek, trekking for 4-5 hours. Malagurek is set in a serene, lush environment surrounded by a fresh flowing river. It is worth the trek to make it this far in good spirits and will definitely be rewarding. You have to experience it to really believe it. The heart of Siberut Island is flowing with the warm and generous hospitality of the Shaman and his family. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 06: Still in Malagurek.
Here is a taste of primitive family lifestyle. Experience the unchanged activities of loin cloth production, making poison, fishing and above all enjoying each other's company. Your endurance will be fueled by the good food which is prepared by the guide, while the jungle provides additional fruits and culinary delights. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 07: Malagurek - Kulukubuk.
After breakfast we will leave for a jungle village of Kulukubuk, trekking for 4-5 hours. It is a phenomenal wonder of untouched beauty. There is no standard pathway to this natural paradise, which climaxes the pinnacle of this trek. The water falls around 60 feet into a single large natural pool. We will stay overnight in a primitive house which is located near the water fall. In the afternoon before getting dark you can enjoy a nice swimming in the water fall and natural pool. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 08: Kulukubuk - Rorogot - Muara Siberut.
After breakfast we will leave for Muara Siberut and make our way back to Rorogot to catch the boat back to Muara Siberut. The trek to Rorogot will be the last trek in the jungle and it will take 2-3 hours. The journey back to Muara Siberut by speed boat will take 1-2 hours, depending on the water level of the river. We will arrive in Muara Siberut in the afternoon, we then check in to a local guest house which is located by the beach. This will be our last night's stay on the island. Before getting dark you can enjoy swimming and beach activities. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Day 09: Muara Siberut - Muara Sikabaluan - Padang.
After breakfast and a little dip in sea (if you fancy), we will then board the ferry to Muara Sikabaluan at 11 am. This town is the second harbor town of Siberut Island and it is located in the north of the island. The journey takes 4-5 hours. (The ferry will transit in Muara Sikabaluan to docks for passengers to board or disambark). Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant in Muara Sikabaluan. This will leave enough time to walk to the beach and relax before boarding and continuing on the last leg of the journey to Padang. During the journey on the ferry before we going to the bed, we can enjoy hospitality with some other passengers of local people and enjoy the evening fresh air from the sea.
Day 10 : Getting off ferry - Next destination.
We will arrive in the harbor of Padang early in the morning between 6 and 7 am. We will drop you off at where you wish, and bid a far well and safe travels. Tour ends.
